Daniel Williams

Hello everyone, and “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!” (1 Peter 1:3)

I am a 22 year old, good ‘ol Southern California guy who is in love with our Lord and his Church.  I have been Catholic throughout my entire life, and by the grace of God, I was blessed with a wonderful family.  I am the oldest of five children and as of the date of this post, my parents have been happily married for over 22 3/4 years.

I am told that I always liked to read the Bible, and that I could often be found paging through my Children’s Bible, memorizing the stories and thinking about them in my daily life.  I was a “perfect little rascal” (A.K.A. a normal little boy), but frequent family prayer and Holy Mass each Sunday facilitated my spiritual growth.

It was in my teenage years that the faith began to blossom in my heart, and through a wonderful youth ministry program I was able to learn even more about the faith and its practical application among my peers.  Finally, after 3 years of this, it was time for my Confirmation, and I received the Holy Spirit in power and love in April 2004, at the age of 16.

Since that day, I have thirsted for knowledge of God, and I have pursued Bible study, Catechism reading, apologetics materials, and theological understanding of all things Catholic.  Thanks to the bountiful grace of God, I was guided to John Paul the Great Catholic University, where I have studied under Professor Michael Barber, a Biblical Scholar and Theologian.  This unique opportunity, combined with the ability to attend Holy Mass every day and frequently come into communion with our Lord through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, has led me to where I am today.

This is why I want to share the beauty of the Catholic faith with others and, through Katholikos, we all hope to help our brothers and sisters in Christ to understand and come to love the God we now love.

I thank the Lord for leading me through the many hard times, as a Good Shepherd guides his sheep, and I pray that he may use Katholikos to build up His kingdom, all for His greater glory.  Amen.
