Greetings Brothers All,

It pains me to inform you the passing of Mr. Velasquez, Father to our Priest from Holy Spirit.
I was contacted this morning by Liz Garcia; sister to our Priest. Mr. Velasquez had a peaceful journey home to meet our Lord Jesus Christ.

I ask all to please keep the family Velasquez in your prayers and also to help Father Velasquez in his time of need and to stand strong with him.

The services for Mr. Velasquez should be coming out in Sundays paper. I will keep all posted as soon as information is received.

Just got word that Gladys Real, wife of long time member Malcolm Real passed away last Saturday and services are pending. Tentatively set for Friday out of St. Gregory the Great. Will put out another email as soon as details become clear.

Please pray for my 40 year old daughter, Laura Bradley, that has for sixteen years successfully (until now) been fighting a battle with M.S. On her birthday June 10th, she had an “episode” that left her right side paralyzed and unable to walk. She has been undergoing steroid injections and rehab therapy and is now able to walk with a cane or walker. She lost her job at HEB due to being 100% disabled which has created a financial hardship on her family. The doctors say that if she has another episode she will probably be confined to a wheelchair the rest of her life. Please seek the intercession of Fr. McGivney that she can at least live a somewhat normal life. Thank you.

We received word PGK Castro Council 9902 suffers from a broken ankle. Fell off a ladder at work. Unable to walk. He is recovery slowly at home with his wife Sandra and three sons. A true dedicated Brother Knight in our Council. In your prayers remember Bro. Castro and his family. You can call him @ 348-6933.

A memorial service for Mrs. Theresa Morales will be on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gregory’s the Great Catholic Church. The family will hold a small reception afterward in the parish center.

The obituary notice will first appear on Sunday, July 6, 2008.

Roman Alvarado,former brother knight, lost his dad on Sunday. Rosary is set for tonight the 1st at St Joseph-South San Catholic Church at 7pm, with the burial tomorrow. It is will great sadness to inform you all of the passing of Charlee Scott. Arrangements are pending and I will inform you all as soon as I find out. The information will also be on the website. I was told the family does not want flowers but would be prefer donations make to the council and to the VA. There will be baskets setup to do so. Also if you can pass this message to the Ladies:

Please add Brenda Ohlemacher wife to SK Darren Ohlemacher to the sick list. Friday evening while playing soccer took a hit to her Right temple and fractured her skull and started bleeding, She was taken to the Methodist hospital and went into surgery to relieve pressure from the Brain, she is now recovering from her operation in room 1095 please keep her in our prayers as well as her young children.
