		<description>Hello Andy-

Thanks for helping me with the LogIn!

I have been reading your post especially the ones of your conversion. I too am in the process of conversion from the Baptist faith - my father is still doing missionary work in Mexico as an independent.

My journey is a little different than yours although some of the conclusions are the same. Mine started last November when I stumbled across a Catachism at a yard sale for .50 cents. After reading it in about 2 days, I was simply amazed at what I was reading! I had no idea that the Catholic Church even believed in Jesus. I grew up with the same teachings that the church was evil and idol worshipers.

I too have come to realize that most of the teachings in the Catholic Church are really acceptable to me, although I am still working through some. I think that it is a matter of peeling the traditional Protestant teachings away and opening my heart and eyes to what is the truth.

I think at this point I am still holding to the good things (such as good ole gospel music) of my former world, and taking into my thoughts the idea of a "fuller" experience with Christ; for us former Baptist's it really is a much richer experience.

I look forward to your post and sharing with you my journey as well.

Thanks Again.
