Please Pray

Please pray for a friend of mine who is moving to Texas. She has only lived in Memphis for about a year. I got to know her at my youth group and she is really great and I am going to really miss her. She moves the 30th of this month and it is going to be real hard on all of them. Please pray for their safety traveling down and that she may meet new people and that her family might stay grounded there for a while.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!
Mother’s are a necessity of life and I especially don’t know what I would do without mine. Today is the day to celebrate them. Only one day out of the year. Today tell your mom how much you appreciate all the things she does for you!

There is a light

Have you ever like actually sat down and listened to a song? I found myself listening to his song on the radio called tunnel. You can listen to it in my song list on the left. The main reason this song inspires me so much is that it show me that whatever is going on right now, it will pass. If you get a bad grade it’s not the end of the world. Strive to do better next time. If you just had a meager fight with your parents, it will be OK. Try to get along better or do what I end up usually doing, agree to disagree. So next time you just can’t seem to get past this one huge thing, Listen to this song. It will lift your spirits, It defiantly lifted mine.

Journal

Now this is kinda late but that is OK. I got this wonderful journal from my Confirmation sponsor a couple of weeks ago and you write things down relating to church or things that are troubling you. Then when you are in prayer, you return to your journal and pray about whatever is in there. It has been great because I am a person that rarely talks to people about what I struggling with and this is a great tool to use without getting out of my comfort zone. You can just use a binder or notebook but he got me a beautiful leather one with refillable pages. Thank-you Bob.

Adelin Jermist

There is a really neat blog that you guys need to check out. Adelin Jermist is the name of it (see it on my list of cool blogs). This girl can really write and right now she is writing a great story. So check it out and let her know you have been there. Thanks a bunch!!!

Saint Anthony

OK this morning my mom was frantically searching for her and my dads debit card that they share. So picture two people sitting in a jeep grand Cherokee searching all over for this tiny card. Mom always says that we should pray to St. Anthony (the patron saint of lost things). So I go to school and the card has still not been found. Fast Forward to this afternoon when mom is still searching frantically for the card. I start praying in my head that St. Anthony will intercede for us and we can find that little card that means so much. A few minutes later I tell mom to look and see if she overlooked it in her purse. And there it was. Right there in the pocket that we knew we looked at a trillion times. This is just one of the times that St. Anthony has helped my family. So next time you lose something call St. Anthony to the rescue!

Confirmation

Monday night was Confirmation. For those of you who are not Catholics this was a really big night. So around 5:30 me, my mom, my dad, my sister, and my Confirmation sponsor/mentor Bob all left for the Cathedral downtown. All I have to say about that was that it was magnificent and I don’t think I would have ever wanted to spend it with anyone else. So after Confirmation we went out to eat to Chili’s. And of coarse the Memphis vs. Kansas game is on, so we (mainly Daddy and Bob) watch that while we eat. So to make a long story short the night was wonderful and I would not have had it any other way the only thing I would change is that Memphis should have won against Kansas.

Funny Story

I thought you guys would enjoy this. Today is Wednesday so at my school we get out one hour early and we get to hang out till school is actually over. So today me and my friend were collecting box tops for our school and she needs to stop and wash her hands. She goes in and I tell her that it is the men’s room. She doesn’t hear me and continues on. I don’t know how but in the midst of laughing I managed to tell her she was now in the men’s restroom. She leaves he water on and runs out of the bathroom laughing. I just wanted to tell y’all about my funny experience today. P.S. A boy came behind her and turned the water off!!!

Metting the Newsboys

As some of you know Newsboys ( a christian rock band) is our favorite band. Well went to see them on Saturday in concert and boy did we get a surprise. We got there and my dad had bought us floor tickets on the seventh row. So we were already pretty excited. Then we pass the Global tribe booth (which is an organization working with Newsboys to get homes for children without). So we go over there and we see that it says we could meet the Newsboys. Long story short we got to meet them and it was awesome. Paul Coleman (the guitarist) gave me a hug and told me I had character, so now you can imagine what I repeated over and over and over again that night. If you don’t listen to the Newsboys or you have never heard of them you should check out their website @ newsboys.com. It is pretty cool!
