Make the Most of Your Time
Every one has time and a chance to make something of this life. To be a success doesn’t necessarily mean you have great wealth or fame and the easy life. The real question is what are we doing here in the first place. Many have felt this question to be unanswerable and have spent their time drowning their uneasiness with drugs, entertainment, or alcohol. As followers of Christ we have a comfort in Christ which is not dependent upon our feelings. In other words, Jesus is there showing us in the Incarnation what our humanity is all about: total self-donation to the Father, on the behalf of others. To sacrifice and serve is our call, because our time here is not the final note in our journey. We have a chance to make eternal differences! To imitate Jesus in the things we do and say will not gain us popularity in this world fixated upon instant gratification, but it will ensure an audience with the King. Today, my encouragement to you is to seize the day and offer it back to Jesus as a gift. You are called to greatness! Let’s make the most of the time we’ve been given. It truly is a blessing. To realize that we will forever exist, is a sobering reality; pray that we all do so in the arms of God.
