My emotional well being and the needs of MAN.

What drives you? I mean, is there an underlying force or charism that drives you as a person. Something that, if not properly aligned will throw off your entire approach to life…
I have something like this. And let me tell you it is not what you think. God is important. Yes, my wife is too but that isn’t it either. And no, it is not my kids or work or Church.
Sadly my entire emotional being is dependent upon one trivial thing.
The University of Michigan regular season record.
No, I am not a crazy that thinks we had a bad season if we were 5000-1 only losing that ugly red and grey high school they call a college in a state that should be in the Northwest Territory but rather abides to the south of Mecca a.k.a Ann Arbor, MI.
Now there is something to be said for MI. They have (deep breath) lost a lot of starters to graduation, bla, bla, bla.
Let me just say this. UTAH!!!!!!!! What the pooplansky is that? Last year they got beat by a school that people only remember as the dudes who beat MI. This year we get beat by UTAH! Again! What the pooplansky is that?
Then we only beat Miami of Ohio 16-6. This is a MAC school! It’s like U of Memphis playing Central High (though I like Centrals chances).
This week we play ND. As a Catholic I’m torn in this game. On one hand I want UofM to win, on the other ND has a better chance at a bowl game. And I say that laughing so hard my stomach hurts.
At any rate, I don’t normally break from the heavy stuff to talk about something I love other than faith so this was my chance to complain about a stupid coaching choice. Yes I know many of you are thinking, “But Bob in a few years they will have a better team with greater speed and be able to take on other conferences”. Yes, you are right, but I’m an American. And darn it I’m entitled to my instant gratification needs every once and a while.
And just this once, I’d like to see Jim Tressel toes eat that stupid girly sweater vest.
I’m outa here.

at least everyone expected Meeshigan to be rebuilding after losing so many starters and getting a new offensive scheme and a new coach. its not like they were expected to run the table or anything. still, i feel for ya. i too know the emotional roller coaster that is college football. There’s that and professional wrestling. So I’m right there with ya.
Don’t forget that Monday night, IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE, the world heavyweight title will be defended INSIDE A 15 FOOT HIGH STEEL CAGE! Wow! Wanna put Jim Tressel and Rich Rodriguez in there for a fight?

Andy, thanks for your comments. I don’t follow wrasling. I would pay to watch Tressel take on anyone in the sweater vest.
Louis, yes it is a technical term usually reserved for OSU running backs, but I stretched the rule a little for this post.
Hayley, see response to Louis above.
thanks all for the comments
